The buzz around Zaful seems to be increasing exponentially, especially with summer right around the corner. Youtuber’s, bloggers and even Instagram influencers are covering the brand left, right and center. If you haven’t heard of the company, they are an Asian based, fast fashion retailer that focuses on summer style clothing: with the main hype being swimwear.
This past weekend Rye and I braved the cold and woke up early to head into the mountains. We hadn’t been in awhile and decided that because it was not going to be an absolute polar vortex that we would finally enjoy the winter weather (versus our usual bundled up inside the house with tea). It was great to get some fresh air and also do a bit of relaxing at the hot springs (after freezing our butts off for some amazing sunrise photos).
Rye and I recently escaped the city for the day to the mountains. It was a much-needed break for both of us with all of the craziness going on at work. It is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of work and everyday life. Plus breaking out of the monotony of 8 to 5 is always an added bonus. I think it is so important to remind ourselves that there is more to this world than working away at a job you hate for money, maybe that’s why I am so adamant at a career change … again … or maybe I just can’t make up my mind.
Happy Belated Monday (otherwise known as Tuesday)!
This past weekend I was able to take a quick break from the city and spend a day surrounded by snow-capped mountains, which trust me does not get much better. For me what makes the long, cold, snowy winters so bearable in Calgary is the chance to get away with something so beautiful & majestic. I often times say that I wonder what it would be like to see them for the first time as an adult and truly be breath-taken by their site, as I no longer remember my first encounter with them.
Wishing everyone a fabulous fall week, and a Happy Thanksgiving to all my American Readers.
My favourite part about late fall is that in the mountains it becomes winter a lot faster. There is nothing more calming for me than being surrounded by hundreds of mountains and crisp snowy air. While I know for many the first signs of snow brings anxiety to many as they know the cold winter days are ahead, but I could not be happier when I finally see it falling from the sky. I guess I am one for extremes (hot or cold).
During a recent road trip to Yellowstone National Park, I found myself in front of what may be the most famous barn in the USA: Mormon Row in Grand Teton National Park (something I did not know existed being from Canada). Having known we were going to stop here on the way to our final destination, I couldn’t help ruining a few of Ryan’s landscape photos for my own selfish gain. I think the result was pretty spectacular … not to be the self-loving narcissist or anything.
