Emma & Chloe Review

French Jewelry Subscription Box

Processed with VSCO with s2 preset

I came across this monthly subscription service a little bit ago now while randomly scrolling through Instagram’s related to some jewelry accounts I follow. I had no intention of signing up (even temporarily) for a subscription service and I definitely have never really been overly interested in the monthly Jewelry services because I am fairly picky about what I do or do not like. I did not fully research Emma & Chloe beyond what was on their website (this is very odd for me as normally I want to know everything about something before subscribing), but the information they had was enough to hook me into trying it.

All Puffed Up

I am happy to say that I can finally see the end of winter in sight. And while the days are slowly getting a litter bit warmer and a little bit longer, I have been able to enjoy the tail end of the season (better late then never right). I never thought I would be one to enjoy owning a puffer coat (yes you’re hearing that right and from a Canadian at that), but this one has been a godsend for me. I “borrowed” it from my Mom’s closet in early January and it was the greatest item I used/owned this winter season. Now don’t get me wrong, I am still looking forward to finally shoving it back into the closet for the year, though I don’t think I will return it to her anytime soon, sorry Momoo.

Zaful Review: Part 1

The buzz around Zaful seems to be increasing exponentially, especially with summer right around the corner. Youtuber’s, bloggers and even Instagram influencers are covering the brand left, right and center. If you haven’t heard of the company, they are an Asian based, fast fashion retailer that focuses on summer style clothing: with the main hype being swimwear.

I Stopped Buying Clothes for 2 Months

Here’s What I Learned

Earlier this year Rye and I moved in together and it brought on a lot of changes, one of those was to my closet. I was now going from two big closets all to my self down to one tiny shared closet. Let me just say, I never knew how many items of clothing I had until I faced shoving it all into an eighth of the size space. Seeing as the closet was not going to get any bigger, I had to make my wardrobe smaller (or at least stop it from growing). So I decided to stop buying clothes for 2 months (a feat that proved harder than I thought), here is what I learned.

Candy Coloured Coat

With the snow in Calgary continuing to fall I am starting to come to terms that we may still be in for a few more cold snaps. I normally do not overly mind the winter but this year has seemed to be more brutal than most. It may be the fact that it is the first full winter back in the City in years or that we have reached record snowfalls. At this point, I am counting down the days until I can break out the summer wear again (is it almost vacation time yet?) and trying to keep cozy in sweaters and big scarves.

Winter Blues

I am a fan of summer, I do not think there is a person in this world who will dispute that. My friend and I used to spend our University study sessions joking around how we were island girls and the cold was just not for us (this was done with a coffee in hand staring at the massive snow piles). This year, I am back in Calgary for the first full winter in years and without a trip to somewhere warm at that. Previously, I was away at school in Vancouver and before that in Nova Scotia, so the extreme cold was something both myself and my body forgot about completely.
