A little late, but again time seems to be flying by. This past month was filled with so many amazing moments. It was a month of accomplishments, family, and self-care for the most part and brought about new change (as I find spring and May generally does).
I am soon posting a life update that will encompass a lot of this but here is a brief look at the last month. My family celebrated my older brother graduating from University, I was accepted (finally) to return back to school, the warmer weather finally seemed to arrive (and Rye and I managed to make it into the mountains), and we finished a massive project at the cabin (to name a few). I was able (as most Calgarians were) to finally enjoy the nice weather, getting out gardening at my dad’s and finding some plants to spruce up the balcony at home. The summer is already ramping up and I am looking forward to some really great things to come.

I am now convinced that 2018 is going to be the year that flies by because I have no idea where the first four months went, nevermind April (I have yet to determine if this is a good thing or bad).
April itself was an amazing month, minus the cold that latched in for a few weeks (but hey I got to catch up on a lot of Netflix so it was not a total loss). I was able to finally escape winter and go on Vacation with Rye. When we returned the weather began to warm up and dare I say it, spring may actually be here! And it was my birthday, which normally I avoid, but turning 25 was a big one for me. I also spent a lot of the month brainstorming and making some changes here on the blog, that are partially visible now, with more rolling out in the coming months. I am happy to say there are some great things coming that I am SO excited for!

French Jewelry Subscription Box
I came across this monthly subscription service a little bit ago now while randomly scrolling through Instagram’s related to some jewelry accounts I follow. I had no intention of signing up (even temporarily) for a subscription service and I definitely have never really been overly interested in the monthly Jewelry services because I am fairly picky about what I do or do not like. I did not fully research Emma & Chloe beyond what was on their website (this is very odd for me as normally I want to know everything about something before subscribing), but the information they had was enough to hook me into trying it.

Wow, I can’t believe we are already a quarter way through the year. Is it just me, or does everyone else feel like the winter months just blend together and form one big cold time-block? This year especially felt this way. A lot of changes did happen over the last month or so though. I left my job for one and started to enact a new life plan and a path to follow (very excited and more on this later). 2018 so far has been a big year of bringing around change and it is making me excited for what else is to come!

I recently wrote about my current job and while I am in the process of looking (and hoping) for a change, I thought it would still be fun to share what I am currently carrying in my bag every day to work. My job entails me being in the downtown core for the majority of the week and as I do have an office, a lot of what I use daily is kept there (I am talking a drawer full of snacks, the true essentials). I always find it interesting to see what others carry with them in their bag, so here is a collection of what I am currently carrying with me.

Happy February! With the first month gone I have collected some of the items that I truly enjoyed this last month.
