The Future Ahead

Over the last few months I have taken some time to really focus on spending time with family, friends and enjoying the things that summertime brings. As most know by now, summer is by far my favorite season and every year as the days grow shorter and the weather begins to turn cold once more, I again feel sad to see summer go. No matter how much sun and time enjoying the nice weather I try to soak up, it never even seems to be close to enough to get me through the colder months.

This summer brought about a ton of changes in my life that have been both exciting, and challenging. Some have been more difficult than others and some more happy as well. It seems to me that the old saying “When it Rains, it Pours” really does ring true sometimes. And while I did enjoy the time away focusing on everything in my life as well as getting the most out of summer, I also continued thinking about this special community here that I love so much. I am happy to be back and share some of the huge changes in my life that are continuing to go on in the coming months, as well as some updates and exciting series I plan on starting.

In the meantime however, I am going to catch you all up on some summer adventures over the past few months. A few weeks back Rye and I decided to make the trek to Peyto Lake for some much needed fresh air and beautiful views. I have to confess that it has been years since I was last there (over a decade), but the beauty of the place still remained. I am not sure Lakes this colour surrounded by beastly mountains will ever get old to me.

I hope everyone has been having a great summer and I can’t wait to hear all of your updates in the coming weeks. What have you all been up to over the past few months?

  1. I understand how you feel, summer is never long enough. As much as I enjoy cold evenings, snow, candles and comfort food in winter, it can’t compete with summer and adventures. Love the dress and the views and can’t wait to hear more about your adventures. xx
